Haleon to Invest ₹2,000 Crore in New Madhya Pradesh Manufacturing Facility
Hyderabad, Telangana: Leading pharmaceutical company Neuland Laboratories has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art $20 million process development facility in Hyderabad, reinforcing the city’s position as one of India’s foremost pharmaceutical and life sciences hubs.
The upcoming facility will span approximately 135,000 square feet and feature integrated kilo laboratories designed to accelerate process development, scale-up activities, and advanced chemical research. The company expects the centre to be fully operational by October 2026.
According to the company, the new facility will significantly enhance its research and development capabilities while supporting growing demand from global pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. The centre will focus on developing efficient and scalable manufacturing processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and complex specialty molecules.
One of the key highlights of the project is the planned deployment of more than 500 process development scientists, making it one of the largest dedicated process development facilities in the region. The investment is expected to create high-value employment opportunities across research, engineering, quality assurance, and technical operations.
The expansion comes at a time when India is strengthening its role in the global pharmaceutical supply chain. Hyderabad, often referred to as the country's pharmaceutical capital, continues to attract significant investments in drug development, biotechnology, and contract manufacturing.
