Renault Starts Export Of Made-in-india Duster SUVs To South Africa
Renault India has officially commenced exports of its Made-in-India all-new Duster SUV, with the first shipment of 750 vehicles departing from Chennai Port for South Africa. The milestone marks the beginning of Renault's global export programme for the new-generation Duster, with additional international markets set to be added in the coming months.
Manufactured at Renault's Chennai production facility, the Duster strengthens India's position as a key manufacturing and export hub in Renault Group's global strategy. The company aims to significantly expand exports from India as part of its long-term international growth plans.
Renault said the export launch reflects the quality, competitiveness, and manufacturing capabilities of its Indian operations, reinforcing the country's growing importance in the global automotive supply chain.
The export initiative is expected to boost India's automobile exports, generate additional production demand at Renault's Chennai plant, and strengthen the country's reputation as a global manufacturing hub for passenger vehicles. With the new Duster receiving strong international interest, Renault is likely to expand shipments to several markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, further supporting India's role in the company's global supply network.
