Ykk India To Invest $150 Million

Made-in-varanasi Biscuits Reach Oman

India has achieved a major export milestone with the first-ever shipment of Made-in-Varanasi biscuits to Oman, as a 40-metric-tonne (40,000 kg) consignment departed from Uttar Pradesh under the facilitation of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). The export marks a significant boost for the region's processed food industry and highlights the growing global demand for value-added products manufactured in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The consignment has been exported by Shree Tirupati Balajee Industries Pvt. Ltd., based in Varanasi. The shipment will travel via the Inland Container Depot (ICD), Kanpur, before reaching Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) for onward shipment to Oman. This is the first biscuit export from Varanasi following the India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which is expected to create new opportunities for Indian processed food exporters.

The successful export strengthens India's position as a global supplier of processed food products while opening new international markets for manufacturers from Uttar Pradesh. APEDA has also indicated that additional shipments to Oman are planned in the coming months, reinforcing Varanasi's emergence as an important agri-export and food processing hub.
