Ykk India To Invest $150 Million

Launches Its First India Facility In Telangana

Firan Technology Group (FTG), a leading Canadian aerospace and defence electronics manufacturer, has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in India at the GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park in Hyderabad, Telangana. The new unit marks FTG's entry into India and its fourth global manufacturing location after Canada, the United States, and China.

The facility will manufacture advanced avionics and cockpit interface electronics for global aerospace and defence programmes. Developed as a customized Built-to-Suit (BTS) facility, it is located within the 277-acre GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, strengthening Hyderabad's aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.

FTG selected Telangana because of its strong engineering talent, growing aerospace and defence sector, and world-class industrial infrastructure. The company expects the new facility to enhance its global production capabilities while supporting exports and high-reliability electronics manufacturing.

The investment is expected to support the 'Make in India' initiative by promoting local manufacturing, strengthening domestic supply chains, and encouraging greater participation of Indian companies in the global aerospace value chain.

With FTG's entry, Hyderabad continues to attract global aerospace investments, reinforcing Telangana's position as one of India's fastest-growing hubs for advanced manufacturing, aviation, and defence technologies.
