Ykk India To Invest $150 Million

Delhi Takes Another Step Toward Cleaner Mobility

The Delhi Cabinet has approved EV Policy 2.0, introducing a comprehensive roadmap to accelerate electric vehicle adoption and reduce air pollution across the national capital. The policy aims to make Delhi one of India's leading electric mobility hubs.

Under the new policy, only new electric auto-rickshaws are expected to be registered from 2027, while new electric two-wheelers are proposed to become the norm from 2028. The government also plans to gradually expand EV adoption across multiple vehicle categories.

The policy is expected to significantly reduce air pollution in Delhi and contribute to the city's goal of becoming a carbon-neutral city by 2030.

The investment is expected to support the 'Make in India' initiative by promoting local manufacturing, strengthening domestic supply chains, and encouraging greater participation of Indian companies in the global electric vehicle value chain.

With the implementation of EV Policy 2.0, Delhi is taking a significant step toward cleaner mobility and a more sustainable future.
