Pepsico Strengthens Long-term Commitment To India

PepsiCo India has inaugurated a ₹1,266 crore flavour manufacturing facility in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, reinforcing its long-term manufacturing and growth strategy in the country. The plant is part of the company's broader ₹5,700 crore investment commitment in India by 2030.

The facility will manufacture advanced avionics and cockpit interface electronics for global aerospace and defence programmes. Developed as a customized Built-to-Suit (BTS) facility, it is located within the 277-acre GMR Aerospace & Industrial Park, strengthening Hyderabad's aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.

PepsiCo selected Madhya Pradesh because of its strong engineering talent, growing food and beverage sector, and world-class industrial infrastructure. The company expects the new facility to enhance its global production capabilities while supporting exports and high-reliability electronics manufacturing.

The investment is expected to support the 'Make in India' initiative by promoting local manufacturing, strengthening domestic supply chains, and encouraging greater participation of Indian companies in the global food and beverage value chain.

With PepsiCo's entry, Madhya Pradesh continues to attract global food and beverage investments, reinforcing the state's position as one of India's fastest-growing hubs for advanced manufacturing, aviation, and defence technologies.
