Fortis Healthcare Expands Presence In Eastern India
Fortis Healthcare has strengthened its footprint in Eastern India by signing an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with the Dion Group to develop a 300-bed multi-specialty hospital in Cuttack, Odisha. The greenfield healthcare facility will be located at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia and marks Fortis Healthcare's first major expansion into Odisha.
Strategically positioned within the rapidly growing Cuttack–Bhubaneswar corridor, the hospital is designed to provide advanced tertiary and quaternary care across multiple specialties. The facility will feature modern diagnostics, critical care infrastructure, and specialized clinical services, improving access to high-quality healthcare for patients across Odisha and neighboring eastern states.
The project forms part of Fortis Healthcare's broader expansion strategy, which focuses on increasing healthcare access through asset-light growth models, brownfield expansion, and strategic operating partnerships. The collaboration with Dion Group combines Fortis' clinical expertise with the developer's regional infrastructure capabilities to create a world-class medical institution.
Once operational, the hospital is expected to reduce the need for patients to travel outside the state for complex medical treatments while generating employment opportunities for healthcare professionals and support staff. The project is also anticipated to strengthen the region's healthcare ecosystem by attracting advanced medical technologies and specialized clinical talent.
The expansion underscores Fortis Healthcare's commitment to enhancing medical infrastructure across India while supporting the growing demand for quality healthcare services. With this strategic investment in Eastern India, the company continues to broaden its national network and improve access to advanced healthcare for millions of people.
