Adani Builds South Asia's Largest Private Missile Manufacturing Hub at Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh
Adani Defence & Aerospace has begun work on South Asia's largest private-sector missile manufacturing ecosystem in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, with an investment of ₹2,500 crore. The project marks a major milestone in strengthening India's indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The integrated facility will house missile assembly, composite propellant production, and TNT manufacturing at a single location—an industry-first for India's private sector. The project is expected to generate around 5,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities while reducing dependence on imported defence systems.
The foundation stone was laid by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Once operational, the hub is expected to position Shivpuri as one of India's leading defence manufacturing centres and significantly enhance the country's missile production ecosystem.
